When we started out 8 years ago under the company name ‘Zymosys’ our clients were often heard saying they just wanted to STREAMLINE what they do. They wanted their processes to be more fluid and connected. They essentially wanted to remove tedious repetitive tasks and increase their ability to respond in a timely and profitable way to client requests.
How did Streamline Edge evolve?
In Business there is always a need to continually improve, to reduce effort and increase efficiency, to smooth or iron out the things that are not working. In other words a need to streamline or change the way a business operates. As a result, Zymosys started to develop some strategic and innovative solutions to common problems frequently encountered by many different businesses. The name given to these innovative solutions was naturally called ‘streamline’

However, with the rapid evolution of technology, companies soon realised that just streamlining the way they operated was not enough. They also needed to have an ‘edge’ on their competition and in many cases wanted to be seen to be on the ‘Leading Edge’ of their industry. In response to this Zymosys decided to package together many of these innovative solutions produced over the years. Who founded Streamline Edge?
StreamlineEdge is not simply comprised of features and functions like most offerings but instead is an application. This application is the result of the combination of both Michael and Nicole Boyens unique and often opposite skill sets, over 20 years of accumulated work experience and the influence of various Industry Experts. They have worked to refine solutions to problems businesses regularly encounter, gathering together and implementing components in a manner that is unique to each client.
Michael Boyens: Managing Director
Michael’s experience covers over 25 years in both small and large businesses, Dot.com startup’s, and new business development as a Senior Manager and business unit “owner”. Michael has extensive practical experience in sales, marketing, systems development, project management and process re-engineering. He is a technologist by qualification and profession, and is renowned for his ability to think outside the square and come up with a creative technical solution to a range of business problems.
Nicole Boyens: Director Enablement Services
Nicole has been a leader of change in the Health Industry and business sectors for 25+ years following her Bachelor of Applied Science in Health Information Management. She leverages her extensive hands-on experience in key information management roles. She brings the user perspective to the fore and focuses on building capability through process re-engineering and optimisation combined with staff engagement and education.
Nicole has a passion to see the Not-for–profit sector leverage the advantages of business systems and technology applications. She brings invaluable knowledge and experience particular to the NDIS space.
Francoise Garnier: Executive, Customer Experience
Françoise is a brand building strategy specialist who in addition to her formal economics and business/ marketing qualifications offers 3 complementary perspectives:
- 10 years as market researcher in major international companies – focused on understanding customer needs, developing segmentation models and testing ways to engage with the market
- 18 years in senior marketing roles in major consumer goods and b2b companies launching and building leading brands.
- 8 years+ as independent brand building and brand experience consultant working with diverse sectors to power up their brands through defining actionable insights, keeping teams and activities in-focus and creating market impact. Optimising communication through on-line marketing and social media is now a significant component of her clients’ projects.
Roger Powell: Executive, Customer Engagement
Roger Powell is a highly qualified marketer, manager and change agent. Roger’s 35 years experience in large Australian and International corporations gave him a strong understanding of what enables companies to grow and adapt to a rapidly changing world. Being a director of 2 not-for-profit organisations has complemented his perspective on customer engagement.
Since 2006 Roger has a specific focus on developing and integrating flexible Business and Marketing plans to “Help Businesses in Changing Times”. A strong relationship focus delivers a seamless integration between smart systems and evolving marketing demands in a way that engages all stakeholders.
