Using Smart Devices

Take for instance your mobile phone or tablet. Pretty much everyone has one and most of us can’t live without them. Everyone has an opinion on which type you should have and which app to use. But how do you leverage these mobile devices in a smart way that put you on the leading edge in your industry?

One of our strengths is the ability to connect people and technology – Using smart devices, apps and ideas we have been able to change the way people think about how they work and as a result totally transform their business.

Transforming a business

For example, a Landscaping and Pool client of ours did not think of themselves as being technically savvy. However, they relied heavily on mobile phones to communicate both with each other, their suppliers and of course their customers.

With a bit of help from us we were able to advise them on which phones were the best to purchase when their plan came up for renewal. As a bonus we also set them up with an app that fed straight into the Streamline CRM we were also implementing for them to produce and manage quotes for potential customers. Now instead of a 2 week turnaround to process a quote they could literally do it on the spot!

The addition of an iPad in the hands of the site foreman overseeing a job enabled quick and efficient ordering of supplies reducing overheads and unnecessary paperwork. Now that’s what I call Smart Business!

Smart People

While we can translate business problems into technical solutions in a user-friendly way, it is also important to ensure no one is left behind and everyone is able to pick up and use the technology in a way that makes sense.

A smart business will also make sure there is sufficient training and ongoing support to ensure every person feels capable of adapting to a new way of operating.

We often find people who achieve the use of technology when they thought they could not do it, have an even greater sense of satisfaction and pride.

The process of bringing people and technology together also provides a great opportunity to foster new and innovative ideas for a business. Often these have been lying dormant for years but when harnessed with smart seamless processes and a dynamic system a business can position themselves for success for years to come.
